Christian Ed

At Augustana Lutheran, we value the importance of Christian education for all ages. We share the good news of God’s love with our children by teaching Bible stories, crafts, skits, and music. Our Sunday School program is for children three years old through youth in middle school. We also offer Confirmation classes for our 7th and 8th graders. Additionally, all adults are welcome to join us for Adult Sunday School led by Pastor Chuck.

Sunday school runs during the Fall, Winter, Spring schedule (Typically, September – May). It begins at 8:45am with a 15-minute music time with Augustana Choir Director, Diana Wooley. The kids learn Christian songs that they sing in front of our congregation during our 10:00am service several times throughout the year. Following music time, the children go to our education wing to learn about the teachings of Jesus and the Bible through stories, art projects and music.

Goals for the year are to present a skit during the service to relay stories and concepts we have learned. The kids choir will also sing once a month.

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
